Our goal is to assist families in fulfilling your primary obligation - to help you teach your children to walk in the way of faith. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Catholic faith. Participation in the Sunday liturgy is foundational to the development of the faith-life of the child. Weekly attendance at Sunday mass is required.
Our Parish Religious Education Program uses the Ignatius Press series Faith and Life.
Our sacramental programs consist of a minimum of two years of religious instruction.
We meet on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 PM for Levels 1-4 and on Thursday
evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 PM for Level 5, 6 and Confirmation. It is during these times
when the students are taught our beliefs, values and practices which make us a
Catholic Community. Visit our PREP site for more information.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program (CGS) is a Montessori based faith development program that is new to our parish. We currently have limited enrollment for children 18 months – 9 years old in three levels:
CGS uses catechist presentations and hands-on material to assist the children in developing a relationship with God and to lead them in the development of prayer, familiarity with the Bible, an understanding of the Mass and a deep appreciation and understanding of the Catholic faith. Presentations are designed to be developmentally appropriate for each level of the program. More information can be found here.
We ask families to decide on a program that will best meet the needs of their children and family. Registration is required for both programs. Once registered, families will have to continue in that program through the end of the religious education year.
You can register online or request a paper registration.
