Court Johannine of the Catholic Daughters was founded at St. John the Evangelist parish in 1921. The Court is currently celebrating it’s 99th year in service to our parish and the local community. All women are invited to join us at an upcoming meeting to learn more.
Meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month in the Father Moriarity Center.
The Catholic Daughters would like to express our appreciation to all those who contributed to the collection for the Sisters of Life. The clothing, baby equipment, essentials, and toiletries were delivered to the Sisters of Life Motherhouse is Suffern on March 3rd. The Sisters were so appreciate of all that our parishes had contributed. All the donations were taken to the Sisters in NYC who were looking forward to getting it into the hands of the moms and kids who they know will appreciate it so much. During the pandemic, as the needs of pregnant women increased, the Sisters delivered food, baby clothing and essentials to 375 families around NYC.
Vocations to the Sisters of Life have continued to grow and they continue to pray for all of us as we pray for them in their life saving work. The Sisters' website, also continues to grow and has numerous resources, a YouTube channel with original music from the sisters, along with podcasts and videos series.
We would also like to thank those who contributed through the Amazon Baby Registry, under Sisters of Life Drive, NYC. This registry continues to be available for ongoing donations throughout the year. If you wish to make a donation, you can follow this link to the Baby Registry set up on Amazon or use the QR Code below. This will allow you to donate directly to the registry for a diaper fund and other items if you choose. Once on the Sisters of Life Baby Drive registry site, you can purchase items directly on the registry and they will go to the Sisters of Life.
The Catholic Daughters along with the Center of Compassion and the Pawling Resource Center would like to thank all of our parishioners who very generously donated to the recent "Food Drive". Your generosity was much appreciated and will help to support those in our local community.
